Stephen Lau MSc.
Stephen Lau has been developing web marketing strategies for emerging
technology companies, government agencies and established organizations
for more than 7 years. Stephen has demonstrated leadership in complicated
industry sectors such as ecommerce, travel, public sector and high-tech.
He provides candid, insightful advice to the C suite and senior
management to help reduce business risk and facilitate the decision
making process. His strong leadership, energy and interpersonal
skills influence and guide staff toward goal achievement.
Before establishing Salient Marketing, Stephen was a founding partner
at Engine Creative Inc., a 35 person marketing and advertising agency,
which was later sold to Venture Communications out of Calgary.
Stephen holds a Masters of Science degree from the University in
Ottawa.
Gregory P. Strong
Gregory has been developing communications campaigns for established
organizations, government agencies and emerging technology companies
for more than a decade. He is president of Curam Strategy Group,
a company he founded in 2001 that specializes in implementing strategic
initiatives on behalf of its clients.
Before establishing Curam Strategy Group, Greg served as Vice President
of Corporate Communications for Calian Technology Ltd (TSE: CTY).
He acted as the company's primary liaison with government departments
and officials at the municipal, provincial and federal levels. His
mandate was to develop and implement corporate strategies to boost
the company's image and manage relations with its shareholders,
prospective investors, customers and staff. In a fiercely competitive
high tech market, Greg raised the dynamic Kanata-based company's
profile both nationally and internationally.
Craig Doornbos
Craig Doornbos is President and founder of Destination Ottawa Inc.,
producers of OttawaKiosk.com - The oldest and most trusted online
guide to the best of Ottawa's hospitality, entertainment and business
communities. With over 10 years in the online industry, Mr. Doornbos
is considered an expert on search engine optimization (SEO), online
marketing and branding, and building business properties through
the Internet.
A graduate of Carleton University in Ottawa (B.A. Political Science,
B.A. Honours Interdisciplinary Studies), Mr. Doornbos studied the
Internet in depth during his final academic year, concluding with
his Thesis: Paradox of the Internet. The focus of this innovative
study, at the onset of the Internet, was the impact it would have
(good and bad) on society as a whole. It was at this time that OttawaKiosk.com
was born. Mr. Doornbos has been working in the Internet industry
ever since.
The son of a Canadian diplomat, Craig grew up all over the world,
living in Vancouver, Hong Kong, New Delhi, The Hague and Vienna,
an experience that is the root of his love for travel. His unique
perspective on Canada and the world contribute to the success of
his companies. Communicating with people from diverse cultures and
backgrounds is a key to his success.
Craig also has an active role in his local community, as a volunteer
member of his community association, and a member of the ByWard
Market BIA marketing Committee. While not working, Craig enjoys
spending time with his 2 beautiful daughters Keona and Rory, and
lovely wife Adrianne. They make their home outside of Manotick,
Ontario just south of Ottawa.
